I told myself I wouldn't turn this into one of those stories that come before a recipe that you are scrambling to find on a Monday night after shuttling your now starving kids from their 6 different activities. and sports  Apologies all around if that's what this turns into.

I started Quincy Kid Apparel to showcase all that is great and unique about this city.  Whether you are new here, lived here your whole life or have moved away, this brand represents what's special about living in this city.  It represents our neighborhoods, our different backgrounds, and the memories of this place we’ve all called home.  

The term Quincy Kid comes from a term many outsiders use to reference those of us who've grown up here.  You don't really refer to people from other towns being referred to as a Plymouth, Weymouth or Medford Kid. So that's something to be proud of.  I hope you can wear our lines of clothes with that same pride.   

I grew up in this city and I'm sure like many of you couldn't wait to go out in the world live in a big city or head out to the country.  Life has taken some of us out of the city, but never entirely.  Most still have family or friends from the area, these roots grow deep.  A good amount of us came to appreciate all this city offers after a drive down Quincy Shore Drive, 18 holes at Granite Links, a night out in Marina Bay or a dinner in Quincy Center.  Maybe it's that sweet site of looking out the window on the approach to Logan and seeing the rolling hills of West Quincy, the Forbes Hill Water Tower and Quincy Bay off in the distance.  Regardless, this is where we call home, let's embrace that.

This is the city I have been fortunate to live, work and now raise my kids in.  While this city has changed a lot, its soul and essence has not.  This city of 100,000 still feels like a small town, a community unlike any other.  From one Quincy Kid to another, thanks for reading and thanks for representing!
